Four Felician Sisters joined about 150 participants in the 12th Ash Wednesday vigil at the Elizabeth Detention Center in New Jersey. Sisters Mary Virginia Tomasiak, Rose Mary Sauchelli, Maria Magdalena Vallellanes and Maryann Agnes Mueller prayed for the release of our incarcerated brothers and sisters in an ecumenical service outside the detention center. This year many of the participants walked from Ellis Island to the vigil at the detention center to call attention to the need for immigration reform.
